It's like having a support system at work. If you're feeling stressed, having family issues, or struggling with substance abuse issues or dealing with other challenges, you can talk to a professional counselor through the EAP. The best part is that it's free and confidential. Whatever an employee discusses with the EAP counselor stays private.

Olivia’s Fund Scholarship Program
Olivia's Fund is a scholarship program offered by Vail Health to help people who live or work in Eagle County who need mental health or substance abuse support but can't afford it. If you qualify, you can get up to six free therapy sessions each year. This fund is available to both young people or adults who don't have insurance. It's a great way to get the help you need without worrying about the cost.

Overall, using insurance can offer more comprehensive and sustained mental health care for those who have access to it. This also helps keep Olivia's Fund Scholarship sustainable for the future, ensuring it remains available for those who have no other resources. Olivia’s Fund no longer covers anyone over 18 who has commercial insurance. Eagle County School District students under 18 can still apply for Olivia’s Fund, regardless of insurance status.

Employee Assistance Program
Many employers offer their employees an EAP that provide behavioral health assistance. Check with your employer's Human Resources department to see if there is an EAP available.
Vail Health Financial Assistance
This includes assistance with behavioral health for those that qualify. You can visit, Financial Assistance Information | Vail Health in Vail, CO for details and contact information or call (970) 477-3116. They can determine your eligibility for the financial aid. Vail Health Financial Aid can only be used for Vail Health Behavioral Health providers so if you are not seeing a VHBH provider, you will have to switch to a VHBH provider to take advantage of the Vail Health Financial Aid.
Can I apply for financial assistance if I'm insured?
Yes, if your federal poverty level is below 250%. For example, a single person earning up to $36,450 is at 250% of Federal Poverty level. Call (970) 447-3116 to see if you qualify.
How to Use Your Insurance for Behavioral Health Benefits
Check Your Benefits:
Log in to Your Insurance Account: Go to your insurance company's website and log in to your account. If you don't have an account, you can create one using your insurance information.
Find Your Plan Details: Look for a section called "Benefits" or "Coverage." This will show you what services are covered under your plan.
Look for Behavioral Health: Check if there is a specific section for mental health or behavioral health services. This will tell you what types of therapy, counseling, or other services are covered.
Understand Your Coverage:
In-Network vs. Out-of-Network: Make sure you know the difference between in-network and out-of-network providers. In-network providers usually cost less.
Co-pays and Deductibles: Find out how much you need to pay out-of-pocket for each visit (co-pay) and how much you need to pay before your insurance starts covering services (deductible).
Find a Provider:
Use Your Insurance Directory: Your insurance company will have a list of in-network providers. You can usually find this on their website.
Contact Providers: Call or visit the websites of the providers to see if they are accepting new patients and if they offer the services you need.
